When I got married close to 30 years ago, I was constantly worried about my budget and I felt that nobody else would be able to understand my vision for my dream wedding. Of course, I thought “Lucky me! I’m a florist, so I can do this all myself!”
The reality was unfortunate: rather than being a happy, blushing bride on my wedding day, I was just another member of the staff. I was so focused on my flowers and decor that I had no time to prepare my vows. I had to scramble to assemble all the flowers while getting dressed and ready, and rushed to the ceremony only to discover that I was LATE to my own wedding!
To this day, I still regret doing my own flowers and missing the parts of my wedding that really mattered: enjoying my time with my family and loved ones. I failed myself, even though I had all the skills and experience necessary to pull it off, but now I want to use that experience to help save other brides-to-be from the same fate!
Every bride deserves to be pampered and relaxed on her wedding day; it only happens once! That’s why I’ve made it my personal mission to help each bride that comes my way, no matter how small their budget or how big their dreams, so they don’t walk down the aisle thinking about “what could have been.”
